IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sharon G
Moseley
July 23, 1949 – October 21, 2025
Sheri entered this world as a tiny 3lb 5oz Sharon Gayle Crater on July 23, 1949. She was so loved that her mother hired a nurse to come to their home and stay with her to ensure that she had everything she needed to get a good strong start in the world. Sheri was a born wanderer, she loved to travel, and these travels began with her parents. Sheri lived in many states in the western US, and she loved to see the glory and wonder of the world around her and loved being in the mountains of South Dakota. Life presented many challenges over the years that Sheri met face on and found ways to make the most of situations that may have daunted others. She was never deterred; she married young right out of High School and had her three beloved children and then in 1975 she began her many adventures with her three children. Sheri knew and loved many and took on every child that came into her life as her own. In 1991, Sheri moved to Omaha and joined her family with Harold Moseley and his three sons, giving her 5 son's and 1 daughter, to all of whom she gave love, support and understanding. Sheri began her college education journey at that time and by 52, she had a Master of Social Work and started a whole new journey. Sheri and Harold moved to South Dakota, together the two of them built a barn by hand and then later opened a boy's home where they fostered boys whom they still love and are loved by. Sheri faced many health challenges over the years and was a strong fighter who would do everything in her ability to get back to a place of strength, health and adventure. In 2020, at the height of the pandemic Sheri met her biggest health challenge of all and was paralyzed from the neck down. She fought her way through rehabilitation and learned how to walk and write and do many things that one would think were impossible for a 71-year-old woman to fight back from. She gave her best every day to her recovery. Sheri was a perpetual fighter who didn't know what giving up meant and even to the last she fought to get well and live the life she wanted to live. Sheri gained her wings with dignity and will forever be adored for the strength and fortitude she has shown in this life. The love and caring spirit that she imparted to everyone she met will be the very thing that carries her legacy of love forward.
Sheri leaves her legacy of love to her husband Harold Moseley; endlessly loved children, Jon (Phyllis) Hooper, Kristi (Lisa) Hooper-Lotus, Brent Moseley, Michael (Erin) Hooper, Ryan (Bree) Moseley, Nathan (Barb) Moseley; her adored 21 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Shirley Dirks and Carolyn (Bill) Boykin; many loving nieces, nephews and their children as well as many loving adored friends who have been by her side through the years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis Adrin and Daisy Grace Crater; Brothers, Curtis Adrin Jr (Bill), James David and John Phillip Crater; grandson, Clinton Dakota Hooper.
