Michael (Mike) D. Magilton was born on June 2, 1948 in Vancouver, WA and passed on August 14, 2026 in Omaha, NE. Mike is preceded in death by his parents, John Magilton and Geraldine Magilton (Moon), and his sisters, Janice Nelsen and Sandra Jacobson. He is survived by his sister, Carole Magilton (Ames, IA); children, Jennifer Magilton in Omaha, NE, Michael Magilton, Jr. (Nancy) Houston, TX and Jessica Magilton (Jason Tomford) in Omaha, NE; and 8 grandchildren. He is survived by his first wife, Concepción Magilton-Elkins; as well as his nephews and nieces. Special thank you to his friends for their unwavering support, especially John Bethea, John Fleming and Brian Fleming.

Mike grew up in Charles City, IA, where he graduated high school in 1966. He graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 1970, the same year he married Concepción.

Mike was a claims adjuster for many years in Omaha, Chicagoland, and eventually Brooklyn, NY, where he married his second wife, Elena Magilton (deceased). He later lived 15 years in the Atlanta area where he excelled in his career and was known for being the best negotiator. He was highly respected in his industry and a favorite to chat with while grabbing a coffee and a cigarette.

When he became ill with cancer in 2021, his daughters made the decision to bring him to Omaha to get quality treatment and assistance with his daily care.

Mike will be remembered for his quick wit, love of great food and extravagant meals, being a television and movie buff and his love of Seinfeld
