Melissa Kay Coil-Gadbois, 57, of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on the morning of Saturday, May 10th, 2025. Her final days were spent cared for at Bergan Mercy Hospital, surrounded by family and friends.

Born on October 1st, 1967, to L.M. "Mike" Coil and Janelle Seidel, Melissa grew up as an athlete with a love for the outdoors. She graduated from Valley High School in 1985 and was a proud Drake University alumna.

She will be remembered for her love of live music, nature, and her dedication to animals. She left a mark on many people's lives, and she will be deeply missed by all.

Surviving to cherish Melissa's memory are her brother, Chip (Mary Beth); daughters, Makenzie, Seryna (Ian), and Elyse; and her cat, Ansel. She is preceded in death by her father, Mike (1988), and her mother, Janelle (2022).
