IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Maryann
Bennett
July 21, 1945 – April 11, 2025
Maryann Bennett
July 21, 1945 – April 11, 2025
Maryann Bennett passed away peacefully on April 11, 2025, at UNMC. She was a devoted and hardworking single mother to three daughters, and her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and the company of friends.
Maryann was widely known for her incredible baking talents. Her treats were a staple at the St. Bridget Catholic Church bake sales, where community members would often place preorders just to ensure they didn't miss out. Her dedication and spirit earned her the honor of "Catholic Woman of the Year."
She also brought joy to many as "Tinker the Clown" — a playful and loving alter ego who made appearances at birthday parties, church events, and community gatherings. Bringing smiles to others was her true calling, and she did it with heart, humor, and a little red nose.
Kind-hearted and selfless, Maryann had a deep passion for caring for others, especially the elderly. She was always putting the needs of others before her own and carried a nurturing spirit throughout her life. In her downtime, she loved watching basketball, cheering on her favorite teams, and hitting the lanes for a good game of bowling. She also cherished her trips to the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas, where she found joy, adventure, and maybe a little luck.
Maryann is preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Christina (Randazzo) Marchese; sisters, Nancy and Louise; and brothers, Sammy, Joey, and Junior.
She is survived by her beloved daughters, Marla (Al) Rose, Shelly (Jim) Beebe, and Angie (Dean) Manley; grandchildren, Mickey (Mandy), Alexis, Steven (Karlie), and Matthew (Mikaela); and great-grandchildren, Raylan, Parker, Harper, and Cohen; and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Faith Christian Church.
Memorial Service will take place Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 11:00 AM, also at Faith Christian Church.
