IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Keefer Luko
Kearns
December 22, 2009 – November 23, 2024
Keefer Luko Kearns
Beloved son, brother, boxer, and risk-taker extraordinaire
It is with heavy hearts and bittersweet smiles that we share the passing of Keefer Luko Kearns, 14, who left this world far too soon but not without leaving an unforgettable mark. Keefer lived his life like he boxed—fearless, energetic, and with the tenacity to never give up!
Keefer was the kind of kid who kept his family on their toes, whether it was daring feats that made his parents' hair turn gray overnight or cracking jokes that left his friends in stitches. A natural risk-taker, Keefer believed life was too short to play it safe. Whether he was stepping into the ring or trying something he probably shouldn't have, Keefer gave it 110%, usually with a grin and a shrug.
He shared a special bond with his younger brother Asher, who he fiercely loved and protected—though he might never have admitted it out loud. Their sibling shenanigans were the stuff of legend, from epic Nerf battles to their mutual love of wrestling matches that never seemed to end in a draw.
Keefer brought light, laughter, and a dash of chaos to everyone he met. His friends will forever remember him as the funny guy who never missed an opportunity to make someone smile, even if it meant poking a little fun at himself. He was the heart of every group, the glue that held friendships together, and the spark that kept things exciting.
While Keefer's time here was far too short, he lived more in his 14 years than many do in a lifetime. He'll forever be remembered for his fearless spirit, his love for his family, and that signature smirk that made it clear he was up to something—again.
Keefer is survived by his loving parents, his cherished brother Asher, and a host of family, friends, and teammates who will continue to carry his legacy. He left us too soon, but knowing Keefer, he's already cracking jokes and sparring with angels.
In Keefer's honor, please take a risk, laugh a little louder, and maybe even step into the ring once in a while—just don't forget your gloves.
Rest easy, Keefer. You'll always be in our corner.
