Avril Raelynn Everleigh Thomas

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Avril Thomas, who was born July 2nd, 2024 and peacefully left us to return to her home in the sky on July 13th, 2024 in Omaha, Nebraska. Avril was the beloved daughter of James Thomas and Janelle Winners.

Avril was very much wanted and very loved. She brought such joy to our family and tons of love, despite her short time with us. She was a very spoiled girl and knew how to get us wrapped around her tiny little finger. We nicknamed her Princess Screech, because she always wanted a snuggle with mommy and daddy. She always wanted to be held and would screech like a pterodactyl if you even tried to set her down.  She filled our home with so much light and happiness. Avril's hobbies included sleeping, nursing, cuddling and even her adorable hiccups, which reminded us of a popcorn machine. She brought so many smiles to all of us.

We will forever cherish our little girl and we will miss her for eternity. She only brought goodness and love into this world, her memory will live on and always be treasured.

Avril's passing was unexpected, she went peacefully in her sleep. She will forever hold a place in our hearts, and we will continue to keep her memory alive.

Avril leaves behind Mom, Janelle Winners; Dad, James Thomas; Sisters, Alana Thomas, Maycee Hughes, Madilynn Hughes; Brothers, Maddox Hughes and Kaison Thomas.

Avril was preceded in death by her Great grandfather, Charles Winners; Great grandfather Gordan Black, Great grandmother, Marlene Winners; Great grandmother, Jacqueline (Jackie) Loomis; Grandmother Jennifer Hansen; her beloved Aunt Madison Winners; Uncle Drew (Rooster) Ross.

Celebration of Life Service for Avril will be held  1:00pm, Saturday, July 20, 2024, with visitation starting at 12:00pm all at Faith Christian Church, 22014 South 132nd Street Omaha, NE 68144.
